The FIFA World Cup is the major football event. Moreover, since the year of its inauguration, it has become the most popular sport competition in the world. Everybody supports his/her national team, even if one is not a football fan at all, like me for example.
I have never been very interested in this game. Even after writing my custom essay paper about the history of football, I did not become its fan. However, I am always interested in results of competitions and I even composed essays writingabout them.
So, FIFA is an international association of football. The games are held every four years. The host country is defined by the football international governing body. The first game was held in Uruguay in 1930. Every national team dreams about winning in this Cub. The Brazil football national team did it five times. During a month period, thirty-two teams compete to be allowed to take part in the World Cup. This period is called the World Cup Finals.
This year, there were eight different national teams that took part in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. They are Spain , Brazil, Italy, Germany, Uruguay, England, France and Argentina. The tournament was held in South Africa during the period from 11 June to 11 July. The whole world was watching these games with holding their breath. There were three favorites, Brazil, as it is the strongest football team, Germany and Spain. However, the final match was between Spain and the Netherlands . It ended up with the score 1-0.
